OLIVIA'S WORLD
About Olivia
About Me.
Olivia is an autistic female, late diagnosed from being miss misdiagnosed 3 times. Olivia is a classical singer and musician, Olivia is mostly a soprano and flautist but Olivia can play other instruments very quickly.
Olivia's education like most autistic undiagnosed individuals Olivia had a rocky start and end, but Olivia and her family fort for her education throughout, Olivia didn't show typical signs of autism, Olivia ended up in a hospital school because of the trauma and struggling to fit in the regular curriculum and needed to be in a smaller environment that was needed. Olivia went through special education needs still undiagnosed, and managed to gain two GCSEs just passing grade after missing about 5 years of education, and 18 years of support in education due to the lack of autism awareness in young females.

Olivia found that music was another way of speaking from an early age of 4 and started with a recorder, and then harmonica. But singing and playing the flute has also been a passion of mine, I didn't start singing until I was about 15 years old, and then i started singing classical music at 16, Sandy Iliff is a professional singer, Dancer, Award winning Radio presenter and actress noticed Olivia had a special form of singing when she was singing in the bathtub one night as most do. I managed to keep getting higher and higher and managed to hit about 4 octaves, Sandy ran up the stairs and told Olivia she was an opera singer, after contemplating what opera was, I was taken back as Olivia was singing for fun with pop music and R&B and Disney music, but without Sandys intuition and belief in me, Olivia wouldn't be a classical singer now, I owe massive gratitude to Sandy just for believing in me and gave me the courage to sing and perform at the pink fab ball event, that was hosted by the late Sylvia Andersons event in 2017, Olivia was still undiagnosed, and did her first ever solo performance at the age of 18 she sang Puccini's O Mio Babbino Caro.

Olivia is now using her talents and her voice, to raise awareness of autism spectrum disorder, and to get more autistics hired, as 85% of the autistic community are unemployed. Olivia has been homeless in her lifetime as an adult and is still battling with education. Still, Olivia now has an A-level in music and also a foundation degree in Music education.
